Groundworks Apprentice

We are looking for a talented individual to join us as a Groundwork Apprentice. You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship working with our skilled Groundworks team on a National Housing Developer site in Bishops Cleeve and Gotherington, with block release lessons at Gloucestershire College.

**What you will do in your working day**

**Your day will include**:

- Health and safety
- Accessing and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Using and maintaining power tools and equipment
- Installing and testing basic drainage and ducting
- Gauging and mixing mortars and concrete by hand and by mixer
- Forming and reinstating excavations and surfaces to sub-grades, sub-bases and roads

**The training you will be getting**

Groundworker Apprenticeship Standard Level 2.

Apprentices will attend college on block release. Theory lessons will
be reinforced in the workplace and practical skills will be practiced
and enhanced in college and the workplace. This can be supported
by some remote delivery if required.

**What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship**

Potential position available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

**Qualifications**
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 9 - 3 / A* - D) **Essential**:

- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 9 - 3 / A* - D) **Essential**

**Annual wage**
- £18,200.00

**Working week**
- 07:30 am to 16:30 pm.
- Monday to Friday.

**Things to consider**

Hard hat, boots, vest are all supplied. Holiday Entitlement: 28 Days. We are based in Bishops Cleeve and Gotherington in Cheltenham so your ability to travel to us is essential.
