Catering Assistant

**PMP Recruitment is currently looking for part time catering staff to cover the restaurant at the local hospital in Cwmbran area.**

**This is an ongoing work with no foreseeable end date.**

**Working regular evenings from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday to Friday (plus weekends when required)**

**Duties will include**:

- **Work in accordance with duty rotas and work schedules**:

- **Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders**:

- **Communicates effectively with all the teams to ensure there is a seamless way of working across the contract**:

- **Undertakes additional duties as required by their supervisor in line with capabilities**:

- **Assist in other areas within the catering department as and when required to meet service needs**:

- **To provide a patients meal service at ward level via the mobile bulk trolley service**:

- **To provide a support service to the kitchen ( cold food prep and cleaning )**:

- **Maintaining Food Hygiene standards in area of work**:

- **Washing up activities in the central dish wash area, carrying out cleaning duties**:

- **Collection, removal and disposal of waste material**:

- **Standing mostly with manual handling & some bending / stretching / lifting required**:

- **Wear clean and protective clothing and personal protective equipment in accordance with food safety and health & safety policies**

**Qualifications**:

- **Good level of both written and spoken English skills with an excellent attention to detail**:

- **Good standard of numeracy, understands principles of stocktake and stock control**:

- **Great people skills, customer focussed and focused on delivering excellent customer service**:

- **Enthusiastic and conscientious, diligent and committed. A flexible approach, and "can do attitude" together with the ability to self-prioritise will be required**:

- **Maintains a smart, professional and hygienic appearance**:

- **Works safely, always giving due consideration for the safety of others and the environment**:

- **Previous experience would be an advantage**

**Please note: Clear DBS record is essential for this role.**

**Food Safety Certificate required.**

**Pay rates: £10.62 - £19.43 per hour (O.T)**

**Immediate start available **
