Tudor Employment are recruiting a Claims Handler on behalf of our client, based in Aldridge, WS9. The client is a fourth generation, family-owned Accident Repair Centre who pride themselves on being open, honest and fair with clients and colleagues alike. The successful applicant will share these values.
Please note this position is a Customer Service focused role, within the insurance / motor vehicle sector. Previous experience within insurance, vehicle repairs or a car dealership is necessary.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Are you the right person for this role? The desired Claims Handler will:
- Have worked in insurance, vehicle repairs or a car dealership previously
- Have proven customer service experience
- Have excellent computer skills to include the use of all Microsoft Office packages
- Confident telephone manner
- Be able to reliably commute to the site location in Aldridge
- Previous experience within an insurance, claims or service environment would be highly advantageous
What will I be doing? Duties of the Claims Handler will include:
- Greet and direct visitors to the Accident Repair Centre
- Respond to all enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Be knowledgeable regarding the services offered and their processes
- Provide timely communications to customers regarding the status of their service
- Prepare customer invoices and mandatory claim documents
- Maintain the reception area ensuring it is tidy and presentable
- Process cash and card payments accurately (to include the swiping of customer’s cards)
- Other ad hoc administrative duties to including copying, scanning and filing
- Make proactive outbound calls to customers
- Checking in vehicles
- Complete condition reports
- Complete final checks to ensure quality control
- Update job notes with every phone call using a bespoke system
What are the hours of work?
This is a full-time vacancy, working in Aldridge, Walsall. This is a permanent role working Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM with 30 minutes lunch.
What is the rate of pay?
£23,000 per annum plus a monthly bonus
