We are seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team We are looking for a motivated Housekeeper who will ensure that the standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, is maintained to the highest level and within the New Care specification. We have a 30 hour contract available with a competitive salary of £10.50 per hour paid for all staff regardless of their age You must be over 18 to apply. Shift times are 0800-1630.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Tidying and cleaning residents’ rooms, furnishings and carpets
- To assist with laundry during busy periods such as holidays and sickness
- Tidying and cleaning communal areas
- Regularly cleaning and monitoring the cleanliness of the communal toilets/bathrooms
- Ensuring that all toilets/bathrooms and restaurant areas are kept well stocked with toilet rolls, liquid hand soap and paper hand towels
- Remove any trays or crockery left in rooms from previous meal times
- Following cleaning schedules as delegated by the Head Housekeeper
- To assist with other tasks necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the home as directed by the Line Manager.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Home
- Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments
- Communicate effectively with other team members
- Display reliability and trustworthiness
