**Ingredients Buyer - Animal Feed**

**Salary £42,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experience, **plus KPI bonus, company phone and laptop.

**Based: Goole with an option of Hybrid working or shared time in the Goole office**

Supplying ingredients, liquids and oils to the Pet and Animal feed industries, taking potentially wasted material and reprocessing into ingredients and animal feed products.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Negotiate, purchase and schedule logistics of ingredients for Pet and Animal feed.
- Coordinate with staff to accomplish defined logistics, purchasing, and follow up.
- Create and support the development and execution of purchasing strategies.
- Identify, source, and manage relative value ingredients for optimum value with the aid of the formulation system.
- The role includes spot and forward purchasing of bulk ingredients, relative value ingredient identification, supplier contracts and bids, and transportation logistics.
- Work closely with both production and formulation personnel to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients that optimise overall best cost strategies for the company.
- You will be expected to trade within the UK, Europe and other worldwide market places

**Education, Training and Experience Requirements**:

- At least 2 years' experience in ingredient purchasing and logistics within the feed industry, Aquaculture field preferred, but not essential.
- Experience with Category 3 Animal by Products (CAT 3 ABP’s). Animal by products 1, 2, or 3
- International buying experience.
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skill is required.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Requires individual initiative and competitive drive.
- Willing to travel within the UK and Europe, possibly USA and Asian markets.

Working hours - 40hrs per week. Ideally Monday to Friday.
