Street Ranger

Street Rangers operate in Bangor City Centre.

They are employed to work through out the City Centre and Local Areas. Street Rangers are out in all weathers visiting businesses, monitoring street activities, and providing quick in-person response to incidents across the entire Bangor Bid area. They assist with a wide range of duties such as responding to store thefts, anti social behaviour, first aid assistance and general public enquiries.

Street Rangers are based in offices at Unit 6, Deniol Shopping Centre, Garth Road, Bangor.

In this role the main duties can be summarised as follows:
Must clear police vetting or similar as required by the company
Communication with members of the public, providing directions, advice, and a general welcoming presence.
Liaison with businesses, and Local Police, handling customer enquiries as they arise or referring these on to the relevant person/organisation.
To provide a reactive force to assist businesses with shoplifting incidents and anti social behaviour. within the BID Zone, as well as carry out a program of street customer services to visitors to the City.

Provision of an extensive and daily uniformed presence around the City (and outskirts which fall within the Business Improvement District) in all weathers to maximise contact with businesses in the area.
This is to be conducted on foot. This presence should aid impromptu communication with businesses and members of the public.
Assist with pre-planned BID events and adhoc requests from close stakeholders.
Assist with BID projects.
