the opportunity

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to fulfil the role of Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent within the Construction Team to work on a major capital investment project.

the role

As an EC&I Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating Electrical & Instrumentation works across the Project lifecycle.

your duties and responsibilities will be
- Monitoring and Inspection of Contractor’s works.
- Ensure Contractor compliance to the Project HSE Policy and Plan.
- Liaise with the QA Engineer to expedite, review and approve the Contractor’s. Quality Assurance and Inspection Plans. Establish Company inspection, monitoring and hold points.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the approved QAP/QIP and Contract Terms.
- Inspect works for technical compliance with Drawings, Specifications and Scopes of Work.
- Review and approve test reports and documentation
- Highlight deficiencies, initiate, and close out Non-conformance reports.
- Input into schedules as requested by Construction Planner
- Review of Contractor Schedules.
- Review and verification of Contractors’ Progress Report prior to update by the Construction planner.
- Instigate Field Change Procedure as required, review and monitor Contractor. Pricing and assist Contracts Engineer in settlement.
- Monitor and verify Contractor Daily Attendance sheets and Logs.
- Assistance to Construction Manager.

you will have the following qualifications & experience
- Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output.
- You will need to have previous experience as a Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent and be capable of managing their time and workload efficiently.
- It is key you have good communication skills as the role requires interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience of project delivery on a COMAH Tier 1 site
- Previous experience as a Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent.
- IT literate.

it’s great if you also have the following
- Electrical Engineering Degree or HNC.
