Maths for Adults Wales Tutor

**Description**

As a Maths for Adults Wales Tutor with Equal Education Partners, you will support learners as part of the UK Government's adult numeracy programme called Multiply. This is a government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills. Adults over 19 who don't have a maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) can access free numeracy courses to build confidence with numbers and gain a qualification. This role provides an ideal opportunity to make a real difference to learners in a 1:1 or a small group setting.

**Requirements**:
To be eligible for this role you must:

- Have extensive experience of tutoring, hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience as a HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor;
- Have a minimum of one year of teaching experience (with relevant experience teaching maths GCSE (or equivalent));
- Be flexible to tutor Monday-Friday between 9am-8pm (a minimum of 2 days available to deliver tuition per week);
- Be able to deliver **face-to-face (please note this is not a remote role and tuition will be delivered in person across the borough of Caerphilly and/ or Rhondda Cynon Taff);**:

- Have a minimum qualification of an A-Level grace C and above in Maths.
- Have experience teaching or marking for various exam boards/a willingness to learn new exam specifications for the role;
- Having experience of working with Adult Learners would be beneficial.

You must also:

- Enjoy tutoring;
- Be passionate about enhancing people's prospects through education;

As a Maths for Adult Wales Tutor, you will be eligible to tutor on different projects run by Equal Education Partners.

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: £32.00-£60.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
