Plater / Assembler

Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit a number of experienced Plater/Assemblers for our client based in Wallsend.

Please note this contract work up until 2028.

Applicants must be time served or relevant qualifications.

Day shift and back shift available.

£19.50 day shift
£21.39 back shift

44 hours per week, 38 standard, 4 overtime.

Your most important tasks
- You have the ability to work with drawings and composition drawings.
- You take responsibility of the assembly of structures.
- You can assemble 3-dimensional parts and sheet metal.
- You can bond assembled parts.
- You are efficient in grinding and burning.
- You can work with the overhead crane.
- Has several years of experience as an assembler.
- Lives within the North East of England and can reliably commute to Wallsend.
- Has had technical training.
- Has a thorough knowledge of welding.
- Can read and understand working drawings and sketches.
- Has a strong sense of accuracy, responsibility and safety.

**Salary**: £19.50-£21.39 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 50 per week
