About the role
Working within the People Directorate, Education Services ensure that early help and specialist support is provided to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and proactively champion the inclusion of all children in education.

What will you be doing?
The post holder would carry a caseload of up to 50 cases providing a range of support depending on the circumstances and the needs of the child and their family/carers. The role will be working within our school age team, however allocations can be made across our 0-19 age range.

The post holder would also be contributing to the delivery of courses and workshops.

You will be required to travel within West Northamptonshire and sometimes beyond.

About you
The role of SEND Practitioner is within the SEND Support Service and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic colleague to join our established team.

The service supports children and young people from 0-19 at home and in education, empowering parents and setting/school staff through a variety of support methods including working with parents and school staff, running targeted workshops and direct work with children and young people.
