Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to seniors in their daily activities. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their well-being.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist seniors with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living spaces and doing laundry
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety of seniors
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and provide support in accordance with individual needs
- Supervise and accompany seniors to appointments or social outings
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for seniors
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to use basic IT tools for documentation purposes
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required for transportation)
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of senior care practices and understanding of age-related challenges
- Familiarity with care home environments is a plus
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: £11.10-£11.58 per hour
