**QA Supervisor**

**Day shift with some flexibility to cover nights**

**Rate: £13.12 - £13.92 DOE**

Reporting into the Technical Manager, the QA Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring that David Wood Baking Spalding continues to meet all the quality and technical standards set by our retail partners.

As the QA Supervisor, you will audit, monitor, improve and evaluate quality systems and procedures and provide technical support for the operational teams as well as maintaining and promoting technical and quality standards in line with business needs.
You'll be leading an established team who are passionate about getting quality right, so it's important that you understand what this means to our business

Essentially you'll have come from a quality or technical background. Previous operational experience within food production at supervisory level is a must. You'll need to have strong leadership qualities, be able to develop and train the QA team and able to use your initiative to prioritise your workload.

Full training on our internal quality processes will be provided
**Key tasks**:

- Supervise QA Verification checks online
- Complete QA reporting as required
- Develop and train the QA team
- Lead on all GMP, Hygiene, Fabrication & Glass audits
- Support the Technical Manager with supplier audits
- Liaise with all departments on QA strategy and delivery
- Train QAs against procedures
- Verify and close out any non-conformances once actions have been completed
- Complete any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Effective Communication, listening, influencing and persuading skills at all levels
- Excellent leadership qualities
- Experienced in working in a food manufacturing setting as a QA Supervisor
- Good knowledge of site activities or Bakery operations and the quality requirements of the business and customer
- Confident computer skills
- Good written skills
- The display of flexibility, self-motivation and initiative
- HACCP qualification is essential
