Yard Worker

Part time staff required for a busy livestock auction based in Stirling.

Energetic and hardworking individuals with previous livestock experience preferred though this is not essential as job training will be provided.

A good idea of what animal welfare is would be helpful.

Applicants should be polite and friendly as this is a customer facing role.

We are based just outside Stirling with good transport links.

We have 3 sales a week all year round and from August through to Decemeber there are often 4/5 sales a week.

Main duties to include but are not limited to:
- Liasing with farmers / hauliers at loading banks.

Counting stock and filling in paperwork ie movement documents.

Drawing / sorting livestock presale.

Assisting with the operation of the sale

Liasing with farmers/hauliers when uplifting stock

General House keeping duties to include scraping of pens; brushing; shovelling; hosing

Some additional tractor and loader work may be required. License for machines beneficial though not essential.

Job would be suitable to anyone who is physically fit, enjoys a challenge and has a positive attitude.
