We are looking to recruit reliable and enthusiastic individuals for a Driver / Porter position within the Facilities Department in Chester. The main purpose of this role is to drive one of our New Fleet of Wellbeing Buses.
You must be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team. Have good communication skills as you will be required to work with other staff members as well as the general public.
This is a Temporary 12 months Position. ApplicantsMUSTbeOver 25 years oldfor Insurance Purposes. Applicants to be flexible and able to cover annual leave and any other absences.
It is essential that you hold a current clean driving licence.
You may be required to work in other locations within the Trust, and therefore your own transport is desirable.
CWP has adopted the Living Wage. Where the standard Agenda for Change hourly rate is below Living Wage, pay will be supplemented to this level.

1. To be responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety issues are reported to the Facilities Manager.
2. To be responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out to an agreed standard and that personal conduct is of the highest standard whilst on the Trust premises.
3. To be responsible for reporting all untoward incidents to the Facilities Manager.
4. To report via the Manager any defects such as lights and vehicle not working etc.
5. To undertake any work on an ad hoc basis eg department stores, confidential waste.
6. To attend all mandatory training and any other training as designated by their line manager.
7. To ensure that all emergency exits are kept free from obstructions and that external doors are secured as required.
8. To be able to plan own time in regard to transport.
9. To be responsible for carrying out basic vehicle checks as per Trust Transport Policy.
10. To ensure safety for passengers by ensuring seat belts are fastened.
11. To be able to plan routes for transport.
12. To be flexible around work times re starting and finishing.
13. Ensure vehicle is kept clean and check care after each transport journey in, regard to property etc.
14. To ensure fuel is topped up regularly and mileage recorded as per Trust Transport Policy.
15. To demonstrate empathy and patience to service users.
16. To be polite and courteous at all times.
17. To carry out any other ad hoc transport requests.
