We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Forest School Leader to join our new nursery in Tring. This role involves leading daily Forest School classes, designed to inspire and educate young children through immersive outdoor experiences. This is an excellent chance for an Early Years Practitioner looking to advance their career or an established Forest School Leader seeking a fresh challenge.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Daily Forest School Classes**:

- Lead and deliver daily Forest School sessions, engaging children in outdoor learning experiences that promote exploration, creativity, and environmental awareness.
- Ensure each session is dynamic and adaptable, catering to the developmental stages of early years children.
- **Program Development**:

- Develop and plan Forest School programs that align with the nursery’s educational goals and the principles of environmental education.
- Incorporate seasonal changes and natural elements into the curriculum to provide diverse and enriching learning opportunities.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the nursery staff to integrate Forest School activities into the broader educational framework.
- Share best practices and provide support and training to colleagues to maintain a cohesive and high-quality educational environment.
- **Child Development**:

- Monitor and assess the developmental progress of each child, ensuring activities meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- **Health and Safety**:

- Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines and risk assessments.
- Maintain a safe outdoor learning environment, addressing any potential hazards promptly and effectively.
- **Engagement and Enthusiasm**:

- Demonstrate a genuine passion for outdoor education and the natural environment, inspiring children and staff alike.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, sharing the benefits and outcomes of Forest School experiences.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Ideally, possess a Forest School qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Early Years Practitioner or Forest School Leader.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and outdoor education principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated to providing high-quality education through outdoor learning.

Pay: Up to £31,000.00 per year
