35 hpw, term time only + 5 days

**Primary purpose of the job**:
To support the Trust HR Manager and CFO/Finance Officer in the delivery of effective and efficient HR and Finance Services across the Trust.

Full Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check required (DBS Check)

**Main duties and responsibilities/accountabilities**

**Support the Trust HR Manager to deliver an effective and efficient HR service by**:

- Ensuring the accurate recording of information and maintenance of Trust personnel management information systems
- Keeping records in accordance with the Trust’s record retention schedule and data protection law, ensuring information security and confidentiality at all times
- Producing accurate typing of documents and letters, word processing and other IT tasks e.g. Word, databases, excel spread sheets and use of internet
- Collating and provision of relevant human resources information to the Trust HR Manager and Senior Leadership Teams
- The accurate recording and monitoring of staff attendance across the Trust in accordance with the Trust’s policies and procedures
- Carrying out tasks related to the recruitment, vetting and employment of all staff in line with safer recruitment guidance & practice and in accordance with the Trust’s policies and procedures
- Helping to co-ordinate and implement the Trust induction program and probationary period for new staff
- Working alongside the Trust HR Manager and Senior Leadership Teams in the identification, planning and organisation of CPD training activities for staff.
- Assisting the Trust HR Manager and Senior Leadership Teams with aspects of staff wellbeing, including staff wellbeing surveys, stress risk assessments, reasonable adjustments meetings, Occupational Health and Physiotherapy referrals
- Co-ordinating exit interviews for all leavers and ensure any action points are followed up
- Carry out any other duties associated with the work of the Trust as directed by the Trust HR Manager or Senior Leadership Teams, commensurate with grade of the post

**Support the Trust CFO and Finance Officer to deliver an effective and efficient Finance service by**:

- Processing resource orders and raising purchase orders and invoices accurately, and in accordance with agreed authorisation and time scales, onto the school Finance MIS, in line with Trust policies and procedures
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve any queries, arrange returns and ensure refunds or credit notes are received
- Preparing invoices on a weekly basis ready for payment processing by cheque/BACS
- Raising of sales invoices as required and the accurate recording of income onto system
- The accurate recording, receipt and banking of all monies received by the Trust
- The accurate reconciliation of Trust bank account and charge card statements on a monthly basis
- Assisting in the accurate and timely processing of petty cash requests
- Carry out any other duties associated with the work of the Trust as directed by the Trust CFO, Finance Officer or Senior Leadership Teams, commensurate with grade of the post

**General**:

- Ensure a positive and professional approach which represents the Trust’s ethos, vision and mission statements is consistently presented in all interactions
- Requirement to take part in all statutory and other relevant professional development including Whole Staff Inset Days
- Follow all Trust policies, procedures and practice, in particular those related to Safeguarding & Child Protection and Health & Safety, and adhere to these at all times
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and only disclose information in accordance with Trust policies and procedures
