About the Role:
In this role at PentaBind's aptamer design services subsidiary, the part-time Technical Sales Specialist will support the CEO to grow sales and forge commercial partnerships, distinct from our parent company's therapeutic drug focus. Your primary task is to support the CEO to engage with customers and grow PentaBind's customer base.

NO PREVIOUS SALES OR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the CEO to expand the customer base and help close contracts for aptamer design services.
- Leverage your wet-laboratory experience to identify and communicate effectively with potential clients: research groups in lifesciences, biotechnology and academia.
- Analyse market trends and customer feedback to inform and improve sales approaches.
- Support PentaBind's marketing efforts by managing social media posts.
- Develop your knowledge of the latest developments in synthetic biology and biotechnology to help inform marketing strategies.
- Act as the point of contact for key clients, sharing information and deliverables from PentaBind's CEO and technology team.
- Work with the CEO to generate technical marketing materials to be shared with clients.
- Have obtained a Masters, or currently finishing, a Ph.D degree in a discipline related to Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering or Natural Sciences.
- Good understanding of synthetic biology, biotechnology, or a closely related scientific domain.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven individual who can work independently and take initiative.
- English language speaking, listening and writing fluency.
- Excellent organisational and presentation skills.
- Bonus: Experience in sales or business development specifically within the aptamer or antibody industries.
- Experience with protein purification and laboratory assays.
- Proficiency in additional languages, facilitating international business development.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced and evolving startup environments.
- Established network within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
