Job Description: Kitchen Porter

Are you passionate about the culinary industry and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment? We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations for our food service establishment.

**Duties**:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and washing ingredients.
- Support the kitchen staff by retrieving and stocking ingredients and supplies.
- Assist with dishwashing duties, ensuring that all dishes, pots, and pans are cleaned and stored properly.
- Empty trash bins regularly and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the culinary or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £7.12-£10.92 per hour
