Reed Accountancy are currently supporting a returning Henley based client seeking a Permanent Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a varied role that can give you the opportunity to develop your skills within a stable and supportive environment. Working within a small, yet busy team, this role will take ownership of the Accounts Payableand Accounts Receivable invoicing alongside supporting with any queries that may arise.
Duties for this role will include:
- Daily Accounts Payable and Receivable duties, including entering all invoices and balancing accounts
- Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and miscellaneous charges
- Assemble financial data for Direct Debit collection
- Assist the Assistant Accountants on a day-to-day basis with the overall sales ledger, credit control function.
- Maintain orderly financial filing system files. Manage the archive process and ensure this adheres to the archive policy.
- Help chase for outstanding balances from customers
- Assist with any accounting projects in the office.
- To assist with providing information to auditors during the year-end audit process.
Contributing to a team approach to workload demands elsewhere within the Finance team.
Experience of working within a similar role would be advantageous, however a strong eye for detail and good communication skills is essential due to the volume of work required.
Strong IT experience, including a good working knowledge of Excel is crucial for this role, alongside strong communication skills both written and verbal.
