**Personal Assistants**

An elderly lady with mobility issues and dementia, living at home with her husband in Clovenfords is

looking for a small team of personal assistants to help her with her day-to-day personal care

requirements.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- Support client with transfers from bed to commode. Commode to then be wheeled to the

bathroom to manage personal care.
- Help with drying, dressing and continence care, checking skin integrity at all times.
- Support with transfer onto stair-lift, ensuring safe use then support with transfer through to

the living area.
- Support with transfers to and from the bathroom and support to change continence pads, if

necessary.
- Supervision to mobilise to the bathroom using the equipment provided.
- Change of continence pad then change into nightclothes.
- Finally transfer to room of choice - perhaps bed or perhaps back to living area with her

husband.
- Ensure food/fluid intake

- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.

**Hours of work**
- Mornings 10am for 1 hour first PA, 10.30am 30 minutes 2nd PA to help with transfers***
- Lunchtime 1pm for 30 minutes, 1 PA needed***
- Teatime 4pm for 30 minutes, 1 PA needed***
- Bedtime 7pm for 1 hour first PA, 7.30pm 30 minutes 2nd PA to help with transfers***

**The terms**
- £11.50 per hour
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro rata basis.
