Ground Worker

**Position**:Fieldworker, Groundworker, Electrician

**Location**:Barking

**Shift**:Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

The Groundworker is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and non-electrical systems in a commercial or industrial setting. The job includes testing, measuring, cutting and installing electrical wiring. The Groundworker may also be required to operate equipment such as electric drills and other tools. The job involves lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Plumbing (including but not limited to, plumbing tools, jetting and drain cleaning equipment), Electrical (including but not limited to, electrical tools, wiring jacks and power tools), HVAC (including but not limited to, ventilation tools, filter and air conditioning equipment), Flooring (including but not limited to, flooring installation materials and supplies), and Air Hose non-electrical.
- Install electrical wiring in a commercial or industrial setting (includes distribution systems, switchedsockets, single point distribution systems and transformers).
- Use electrical testing equipment such as A B T, voltmeter, ohm's law method A B V measured between two ground points. Measurement of conductivity between two conductive surfaces.
- Cut and install insulation for electrical wiring.
- Use hand tools and power tools.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of safety practices and requirements including; safe use of protective equipment; adherence to safety policies and procedures; follow all company safety procedures; use of good judgment; awareness of personal safety; awareness of surroundings around you.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Knowledge of residential plumbing is a plus but not required. Instead the ability to use basic hand tool skills is preferred.

**Salary**: £20.00 per hour

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
