We currently have an exciting opportunity for an In-directs Buyer located at our Leek or Widnes site. In this role, you will be part of a small team with the responsibility of ensuring that Croda achieves value for money for a range of purchased Goods and Services. This will include developing and implementing purchasing strategies for key materials and services, as well as working alongside a wider global procurement function. You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to ensure value has been delivered for the Goods and Services received.

**Essentials**:

- Previous experience of procurement of goods and services
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- An excellent communicator, capable of building effective internal and external working relationships
- Experience in risk management
- Knowledge & experience of contract management

**Desirables**:

- Experience of strategic and tactical sourcing
- SAP user experience
- CIPS Qualifications
- Educated to degree level
- Proven track record of contract management
- Experience working with global procurement functions
