Residential Caretaker

Truelove Property Lettings are actively seeking a Caretaker / Handyperson across their whole portfolio in Nottingham.

The required hours are from 8.30 to 5.00pm

Their day to day responsibilities will involve;
Carrying out general repairs onsite including:

- Providing a reactive and planned maintenance service
- Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests, recording and providing all documents to office
- Carrying out monthly emergency light tests, recording and providing all documents to office
- Be able to carry out remedial works from works required on site
- Taking meter readings,
- Replacing light bulbs,
- Resetting call points,
- Painting and decorating apartments and communal areas
- Keeping the car parks area clean at all times,
- Taking responsibility for refuse management, ensuring the bins are collected weekly and reporting to office with any issues. Making sure the bins are clean and tidy at all times.
- Liaising with the office on reporting all maintenance issues and prioritising repairs maintaining communal areas
- Carrying out communal & grounds maintenance daily

What skills you will need;
- Extensive multi skilled maintenance experience
- Skills related in qualification or accreditation
- Working on your own initiative
- Excellent communication
- Must be a team player
- Ensuring the site is tidy and presentable at all times
- Ability to carry out a diverse range of repair jobs and manage a work schedule
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under own initiative
- Proactive approach in daily activities
- Must have own tools
- Have due regard to health & safety and security issues including fire testing
- Must have previous Caretaker / Handyman / Handyperson and/or building/builder experience
- Full UK driving licence

This is a physically demanding job role.

Salary will be dependent on experience and reviewed following a 6 month probationary period

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
