Hobdens Property Management Ltd are a Managing Agent based in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Formed in 1946, Hobdens have been located in the town ever since. We cover the whole of the Sussex area and surrounding counties, with focus on the coastal area between Portsmouth and Brighton.

The **Accounts Assistant** is responsible for service charge accounting on behalf of clients. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

- Receipting Service Charge and Ground Rent cheque/cash/BACS payments on Qube and preparing paying slips for banking
- Recording of Admin Fees in relation to sales (e.g. LPE1 fees, Notice of Transfer fees etc)
- Bank reconciliations
- Setting unsettled receipts
- To generally assist with all other accounts admin related activities where necessary
- Dealing with requests and queries from Property Managers and Management

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on all levels.
- AAT Level 2 or 3 (ideally).
- A positive and polite telephone manner.
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy accounts team.
- Ideally some experience in the property sector.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly competent in MS Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
