**Day-to-excellence for operations and service levels**
Your core task as Cold Store Supervisor is the effective day-to-day supervision of warehousing in accordance with company procedures, including the health, safety and welfare of employees and visitors. In doing so you ensure that the ongoing standards of work, procedures and service are maintained at the levels required by Norish Ltd and its customers. Your ultimate objective is an absence of errors and omissions across all activities

In order to achieve this you:

- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Cold Store Operation, meeting the priorities set by the Site and Operations Managers and eliminating backlogs of work or vehicle delays;
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks including those required for the site HACCP plan are completed in full and on time, including complete return to work forms and cleaning records;
- Perform the planning and forward-planning of labour resource management, including periods of holidays, absence and bank holidays;
- Seek the safe and efficient management of space so that products are stored in accordance with the product’s movement profile, with aisles and exits kept clear.

You report any problems and non-conformances to the Site and Operations Managers, then work to investigate and correct problems and non-conformances. At all times you maintain a proactive dialogue with the Stock Controllers that leads to the rapid and clear exchange of information.

When necessary, you deputise for direct reports and the Operations Manager, maintaining service standards in their absence. You also ensure your direct reports are fully briefed to manage in your absence.
