**JANUARY START**

The Supply Room is on the lookout for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team in Devon. We are recruiting for two school sites, one in Tiverton, and one based in Exeter. **This is a truly unique and rewarding role that requires an individual with sensitivity, aptitude, and knowledge.**

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant or experienced SEN teaching assistant who is passionate and enthusiastic about building relationships with pupils and other staff members.

**Having experience dealing with behavioural issues in children would be beneficial for this role, but having a high level of compassion and resilience are key.**

You will be required to:

- Have a good understanding of SEN.
- Be adaptable and resilient.
- Great relationship builder.
- Well organised.
- The ability to plan and deliver interventions.
- Knowledge of relevant systems, processes and policies.
- Provide a mentoring role to pupils struggling with social, emotional and behavioural needs, which are affecting their ability to learn.
- Follow up safeguarding issues in line with school policy and practice in lessons with the school’s safeguarding officer.

**Qualifications & experience**:

- Valid right to work in the UK.
- Experience of working in relevant age group in learning environment.
- An up to date Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain a new one.

**For this role, it is required that you have a full UK licence as you may be required to transport pupils or commute between sites.**

**Salary**: From £82.00 per day
