**Portsmouth**We are recruiting for a Food and Technology Teacher to join aOfsted rated 'Good' school in Portsmouth for April 2023. Interviews slots available immediately.

The thinking school approach to education transforms the life chances of their children, notjust because of the excellent outcomes the students achieve but also as it teaches them the critical thinking skills, they need to be resilient in an ever-changing world.The Food department is a small department of excellent teachers who have a passion tosee their students achieve in Food and Technology. A Food and Technology Teacher is responsible for delivering high quality teaching on food, cooking and nutrition with the aim to help students develop a broad base of skills through practical and theoreticalwork across all Key Stages.
**Their key duties and responsibilities include**:

- Teaching KS3 and KS4 Food and Technology (with an option to teach KS5)
- Developing, maintaining and stimulating pupils' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in food and nutrition
- Developing students' familiarity, competence and confidence within a safe workshop environment
- Motivating students to contribute and engage in extra-curricular Design and Technology activities
- Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
- Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical Food and Technology exams
