An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Senior Psychological Therapist, on a permanent basis.

The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Adult Psychological Therapies, and responsible to the Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist: Be responsible for the systematic autonomous provision of a highly specialised psychological assessment and treatment service to patients referred to the Adult Psychological Therapies Service. Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff within Adult Psychological Therapies, within specific therapeutic modalities. Contribute to Psychological Services training, teaching and research activities. Provide a range of specialist evidence based psychological therapies, training, and supervision with an advanced clinical specialism. Represent the Consultant Clinical / Counselling Psychologist, as required, and take on locality management activities as required (e.g., expenses, appraisal/job planning, sickness absence management, payroll returns).

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

The post holder must hold one of the following:
a) HCPC registered psychologist (doctorate degree) or NMC (honours degree) or accredited membership of BABCP / BACP / UKCP or

b) Graduate basis for chartership (GBC) with BPS and have completed a clinical skills training programme at Masters level (accredited by the BPS).
- As well as having completed training in at least one evidence based psychological therapy the postholder must have additional relevant experience of providing a highly specialised psychological assessment and treatment service.
- Have knowledge of NHSL Health Board's Policies and Procedures, and national and professional guidelines for optimal standards of clinical care e.g. child protection guidelines.
