Marketing Operations Executive
- 12 month Fixed term contract

Role Definition

Howden’s marketing team plays an integral role in the business’ overall strategy, helping to position Howden as a market leading broker and drive sales. The Marketing Executive will help deliver a diverse range of campaigns to engage with clients as well as deliver crucial operations projects to help the smooth running of the team.

They will work with other members of the marketing team, our in-house creative agency, suppliers and internal partners.

The new Marketing Executive will join a team in which culture is very important. We have a strong work ethic but we have fun with what we do and support a good work/life balance. The team environment is friendly, supportive and energetic.

The Marketing Executive will support a number of Howden’s specialist teams including financial and professional services, health and care, sport and entertainment and fine art.

They will also work on specific projects, providing co-ordination and support to the rest of the marketing team ensuring key timelines are met and projects are run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the marketing team to deliver multi-platform campaigns across print, digital, social, podcasting and video.
- Assist in producing marketing collateral, as well as research, copywriting and liaising with external agencies to include designers and print suppliers.
- Coordinate marketing operations and administration, ordering branded marketing materials and merchandise, managing content and image libraries, auditing and updating marketing literature.
- Assist the marketing team with the development of the Howden brand, ensuring it is applied effectively and consistently across the UK divisions.
- Help run company digital channels and social channels.
- Coordinate and run in-person and online events.
- Handle and respond to enquiries through the Howden website.

Key Accountabilities (What you are measured on)
- Supporting the divisional teams with timely and effective marketing materials and campaigns.
- Supporting the wider marketing team with project support and marketing operations.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
- Effective management of office administration.
- Efficient and thorough approach to project management.

Skills and abilities needed to perform role
- Energetic, personable, a great teammate with a flexible, ‘can do’ demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
- Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Good attention to detail.
- Self-starter, keen and able to work off own initiative.
- Shown written communication skills, preferable with experience writing for business related audiences.
- Showed skill of all major business packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

Desirable but not essential:

- Awareness of design process and the software they use, e.g. Indesign, Photoshop.
- Understanding of website management, including previous use of a content management system (CMS), Google Analytics and SEO.
- Understanding of social media best practice and community management.
- Experience of Google Adwords and social selling

Experience and Qualifications

We are open-minded about previous experience and qualifications and very happy to accept applicants with a range of professional backgrounds. This is could include:

- Previous experience working in a marketing role in any sector
- Previous experience working in a project management, administration or PA role but with an interest in marketing and events
- Previous experience in insurance or financial services
