**What is the Role?**

The qualification is delivered by blended learning over 5 years for at least 1 day per week with the remaining days in the office or at site (for practical learning).

During the programme, you'll learn:

- All commercial and procurement related aspects of a Construction project from inception to completion.
- Everything from early site assessment and cost estimating of a project,
- Preparation of budgets, risk assessment and preparing a Business case.
- Assessing and recommending procurement and contracting strategies to support the construction of projects.
- Develop technical, legal, negotiation, analytical and evaluation skills to draft and manage construction contracts.
- Run tender events to assess and select the Contractors, focusing on value for money, while still achieving the required client expectations, standards, and quality.
- Broad awareness of the various legal, ethical and professional responsibilities of the Procurement and Commercial team.
- Manage all costs relating to offshore projects from the initial calculations to the final accounts, this will include assisting in the preparation of monthly payments, cost reports and data gathering.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

- a minimum of four Highers with at least two Highers at grade B or higher. Various grade combinations from Highers and Advanced Highers will be considered. Nat 5 English and Mathematics are essential at; Higher English and Mathematics are preferred.
- attention to detail
- good communication skills
- good organisational skills
- be keen to learn, proactive and asks questions and have an interest and basic understanding in Renewables, numbers and projects.
- ideally, you’ll also have a **driving licence** as you’ll need to get to different sites both during and after your training period
