**Welding / Steelwork Supervisor Supervisor (Shipbuilding)**

Are you from a steelwork or fabrication background, with welding or fabrication qualifications, looking to take the next step in your career, into a supervisory / team leader role, with a well-established global company who will provide you with excellenttraining, and invest in your professional development?

Are you looking to join a specialist engineering organisation, where you will be in a hugely varied role, working on exciting projects for clients in the marine, major fabrication and defense sectors?

On offer is the opportunity to join the largest ship repair and conversion specialist in the UK, where you will be responsible for supervising personnel and work packages, ensuring all work complies with health, safety and quality standards. You will alsobe planning and managing a range of repair and installation activities onboard ships, and carrying out welding and fabrication when necessary.

**The role**:

- Supervise fabrication / steelwork team, ensuring work complies with company standards
- Plan and manage a range of repair and installation activities onboard ships
- Prepare risk assessments and identify requirements for safe completion of work
- Liaise with Project / Ship Managers and other Supervisors

**The person**:

- Qualified and competent in steelwork
- Welding qualification (1090 or equivalent)
- Well organized, and motivated to step into a supervisory position
- Great communication skills
