**Community Care Worker**

Contract: Full-Time, permanent role

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Location: Shrewsbury and Surrounding areas, Shropshire.

**The Role**

We are looking to recruit **Community Care Workers** with experience to join our team. The company provides an individualised care package to support and enable people to maintain their independence and in the comfort of their own homes.

Community Care Workers with a full driving licence and own transport, required to work in the Shrewsbury and Surrounding areas, you may be required at times to move to a different working environment within a different location.
- To care for and support individuals with a person centred approach within their own home, and to enable the individual you support to access the community.
- To promote independence when supporting individuals within their own home.
- Assistance with personal care will be required for individual that you are supporting.
- Assistance with food preparation.
- Engage in social activities and provide companionship to promote overall well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition or behaviour to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assistance with moving and handling for those with limited abilities once training is complete.
- Administration of medication once training and a medication competency is complete.
- Senior Support Workers will have added responsibilities, this may include supporting Managers and Care Team Leaders with care plans and supervisions.

**Requirements**:

- At least 6 months experience in a domiciliary setting is preferred.
- To be caring and trustworthy.
- Have a passion about the job role you are undertaking.
- To be always reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn new skills and progress within the role you are undertaking.
- Flexibility with shifts patterns, working hours and location.
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service outcome.
- Satisfactory completion of employment and personal references.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driver's licence and own vehicle is essential.

**The Next Steps**
