It will comprise of three independently operated open kitchens, an in-house bar/café, an adjoining private/corporate event space and accompanying public event programme. A forward-thinking space that will celebrate the very best in Scotland's independent restaurants, produce and wider cultural landscape. Canteen aims to become one of Scotland’s most dynamic foodie destinations that helps put Lost Shore firmly on the map.

**The Role: Food & Beverage Team Leader**

The Food and Beverage Team Leader leads, motivates and ignites the passion and drive within our Food and Beverage Team Members, cultivating a vibrant work culture, fostering seamless teamwork, running shifts, delegating responsibilities, and offering guidance and training whenever needed

What you will be doing:

- Delivering the day to day Food and Beverage (F&B) Operation and Events Programme at the Lost Shore Surf Resort (LSSR), Edinburgh.
- Working as a Team Leader of the F&B Front of House (FOH), Events and Kitchen Porter (KP) Teams.
- Accountable for delivering a world class visitor experience in F&B and Events and ensuring that everything is safe, hygienic and legally compliant.
- Reporting to the F&B Manager, the role is a Supervisory role at the LSSR and involves working with and alongside Rogue Village (RV).

**Financial Aspirations**: Collaborating with the F&B Manager to develop and implement the F&B and Events budget, overseeing income, spend per head, stock, costs, and margins, and supporting overall profitability targets across the Resort while ensuring team adherence to financial policies and procedures.

**Visitor Experience**: Collaborating with the F&B Manager and RV to exceed visitor expectations, championing a culture of proactive feedback, and ensuring top-notch delivery of our F&B Operation and Events Programme within budget, all while fostering a vibrant atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more. Working as a Team: Spearheading efforts with the F&B Manager and RV to attract and retain top-tier talent, empowering the F&B and Events Team to exceed guest expectations and become integral drivers of our business success, while fostering a culture where every team member can make a meaningful impact.

**Ways of Working**: Cultivating a safety-first culture within our F&B and Events teams, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety protocols, licenses, and permits, while leading the charge in handling incidents with poise and precision, making LSSR the ultimate workplace destination for safety-conscious professionals.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- A passion for hospitality, seasoned with proven team leader experience
- The drive to make a difference — we need a team leader that wants to be part of a creative, innovative and market-leading hospitality venue.
- A flair for food & drink, you should be a passionate foodie first and well networked in the contemporary Scottish hospitality scene

**Additional Information**:
As a Food and Beverage Team Member you’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Our resort operates seven days a week, and early morning, late evening and weekend work will be required. Your commitment to ensuring the resort’s smooth operation during peak times is essential.
