Kennel Assistant

**TEMP CONTRACT- IMMEDIATE START- NOVEMBER**

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Greeting customers for viewings, general enquiries and to check their dogs in/out of the premises.
- Maintaining the kennel booking system, record keeping and taking payments.
- Cleaning kennels and fields to a high standard.
- Feeding and administering medication.
- Providing enrichment for the dogs throughout the day.
- Taking photos and uploading to social media.
- Setting up kennels for dogs coming in, allocating kennels.
- Restocking supplies as needed from stockroom.
- Possible transportation of dogs
- a company vehicle will be provided.

**Skills**
- Must be over 18 due to insurances.
- Must have previous experience working in a kennels.
- Must be dependable and reliable, we are a small team and therefore unexpected absence has a negative effect.
- Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, additional shifts will be required during busy periods/to cover holiday.
- Must have a full clean driving licence in order to drive the company vehicle for the transportation of dogs.
- Must have own transport due to rural location.
- Must be ok to work in all types of weather for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

**Hours**
- Wednesday 2-6pm
- Thursday 2-6pm
- Friday 2-6pm
- Saturday 7.30am
- 6pm
- Sunday 7.30am
- 5pm

Additional shifts will be required during busy periods and to cover holiday.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week
