**SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE**:You are being trained to be a manager of the future on the job earning and learning with the best hospitality training along with fellow students across Scotland. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills by continuous personal development. Training with the best in the industry and a career for life, getting an SVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Qualifications along the learning journey. To complete six-months rotation in each department at The Torridon over two-years: Housekeeping; Food and Beverage; Kitchen; Reception and develop, train and learn to become a supervisor in an area of preferred speciality. To commit to attend a Masterclass and Learning Journey, each module, provided by Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Key Responsibilities Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Kitchen and Reception**:
**Year 1**:

- Assist the housekeeping of all resort public and back of house areas.
- Professionally serve Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Tea/Coffee Room Service and Dinner.
- Attending all AHS Masterclasses and Learning Journeys.

**Year 2**:

- Assist with the food preparation for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, room service, and dinner.
- Check-in Guests and escort guests to their room. Check-out guests and assist with their departure.
- Attending all AHS Masterclasses and Learning Journeys.

**OPTIONAL Year 3**:

- Supervise a department of your choice to the standards of The Torridon.
- Undertake and complete an SVQ level 3 Introduction to Management.
- Attending all AHS Masterclasses and Learning Journeys.

All of the above to be achieved to a 5 Star Standard.

**Desired Experience**:
At least 3 months previous work experience is preferred in some area of Catering or Hospitality, however full-training will be provided in all areas.

**Education and Skills**:
National 5 and/or equivalent in English and Maths. Good Level of Communication, Flexible, ability to multi-task, good team-player.
