**Job Summary** and key responsibilities**
The Finance and Tax Assistant (FTA) will be a member of the Statutory Reporting, Tax and Treasury Team and report to the Head of Statutory Reporting, Tax and Treasury with a dotted line to the Statutory Accountant.
LRG group is a private equity backed, multi entity, property and sales group, and the FTA will have a broad supporting role to the team and, therefore, ideally have some experience of accounting, VAT, tax, and treasury, although training will be given in all areas. The FTA will work closely with the Statutory Accountant, Treasury Analyst, Financial Controllers, and external advisors such as EY, Evelyn and PWC, and senior staff within the organisation. The FTA will support the statutory reporting team with ad hoc finance tasks for our central finance, treasury and help co-ordinate LRG’s tax affairs
**K**ey Responsibilities**:
- _**_Central Accounting_**
- Manage Net Debt Schedule in liaison with Treasury Analyst
- Manage intercompany loan and interest accruals and overview of intercompany netting.
- Support with intercompany recharges and transfer pricing
- Month End consolidation - to support statutory accountant with monthly process.
- Manage Balance Sheet control for tax items.
**_ Tax_**
- Monthly review of the accounting records for tax sensitive items. Process in Tax Handbook and training will be given.
- Support with preparation of year-end tax disclosure notes and tax packs. Full training will be given.
- Senior Accounting Officer - support the Head of Statutory Reporting, Tax and Treasury with process improvement in line with SAO responsibilities.
- Support with various statutory tax requirements as directed by your Line Manager
**_ Treasury_**
- Cover for holidays for weekly cashflows. Full training will be given.
- _**_VAT_**
- Support and co-ordinate group quarterly VAT return and associated responsibilities
**Other Responsibilities**
- Support the team with adhoc finance duties as directed by your Line Manager

- Part qualified finance/tax qualification or working towards an appropriate qualification. Study support available.

- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of the property market

- Tax administration experience
