Synergy exists with other interdepartmental research centers throughout the university, including the Therapeutics Discovery and Development Collaborative, the Chemical Biology Program, the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Center for Mitochondrial Disease and Therapeutics, the Cleveland Center for Membrane and Structural Biology, and the Center for RNA Science and Therapeutics. The Department has vigorous interdisciplinary graduate programs (MS and PhD), and actively engages in medical and dental education. Graduate education is supported by two NIH sponsored training grants administered within the department.
