We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, preferably an experienced Medical Audio Typist to join our existing Medical Secretariat. They will provide support to Senior Medical Secretaries and work closely with multi professional teams.

The job will include typing of clinic notes, operation notes, ward notes, sending out typed letters, dealing with post, answering the telephone and other administrative support as required. The nature of the typing is complex and sensitive.

The role will be within our Medical Secretarial Team which is part of the Access Team. The Medical Secretarial Team is made up of smaller admin teams within the hospital and provides secretarial support to Consultants and their Team.

To type clinic notes, operation notes, pre operative notes, ward notes, correspondence letters accurately through digital audio dictation within the 10 day typing time line.

Process incoming mail and distribute as necessary.

To scan documents into the correction section of the patient's EPR record.

Regularly check the digital audio dictation for urgents and priority typing.

Answering telephone queries from patients and other healthcare professionals making return telephone calls if required.

Accuracy of entries into the hospital's computer systems.
