**Job Purpose**:
This is a pivotal role supporting your segment to draft specific tailored insurance policy wordings and documentation, binding authority agreements and re-insurance treaties to meet out customers' needs and where appropriate provide training and support. The role is a key link between the partnerships segment and internal and external stakeholders and involves the delivery of exceptional customer service to the segment's client companies and MGA partners in line with the company's culture of service excellence and high technical standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Where directed and requested by the Segment Leadership team, work collaboratively to help support the strategic underwriting growth plans within the Segment, ensuring alignment with HSB’s wider business ambitions requiring you to:

- Own the end-to-end maintenance of the product wording and policy documentation suite, Binding Authority Agreements, Reinsurance Treaties and supporting contractual documentation for our client companies, MGA's and other distribution channels within the segment, linking in with internal departments and stakeholders such as Claims, Underwriting Strategy and Standards, Legal, Compliance, Risk and the Segment Underwriting Team.

The role will involve / require you to:

- Ensure consistency in contractual and policy documentation with company standards aligned to our underwriting strategy
- Take accountability and ownership of a policy documentation central database on behalf of the Segment.
- Work closely with the Segement underwriting team, the product leaders, legal and claims to align wordings with underwriting intend.
- Implement HSB's Product Governance framework within the segment.
- Take a proactive role in the innovative development of new and existing products and services for the segment.
- Increase the technical knowledge of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Pro-actively engage and build relationships with external stakeholders, and in particular your counterpart within our partners.
- Identify variations and drive improvements to our wordings suite.
- Understanding of the impact and requirements of relevant regulatory bodies and legislation on insurance contracts, and ensure compliance with internal and industry and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the sgement leadership team to create a culture of high performance within your tea, leading by example in adhering to the HSB behaviourial standards.
- Take responsibility for populating and updating HSB's CRM system (Microsoft 365 Dynamics) with all activity and business interactions where appropriate for your role.
- Attend and engage with relevant industry and market specific events, conferences, and networking activities.
- Undertake any relevant training to ensure skills and knowledge effectively underpin the segment and enable the delivery of segment objectives and goals.
- Attend partner meetings with the Partnership Managers &/or Segment leadership team which may invovle the delivery of presentations and training as required.

**Key Skills & Experience**:

- Previous underwriting experience
- Proven experience of preparing insurance policy wordings, binding authority agreements and reinsurance treaties.
- Attention to detail

- Experience with Agile methodology
- Strong organisational, listening, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills.

**Qualifications & Educational Requirements**:

- Degree level education or equivalent relevant industry experience
- ACII qualified or progression towards
