**Management/Financial Accountant**

**Role Purpose**

This is a key role for The Flava People, working within TFP’s Finance team and supporting the senior business team. The **Management/Financial Accountant** will be responsible for the day-to-day management and financial accounting, ensuring the company’s financial health, supported by the Finance Assistant, and providing direct support to the CFO and wider business. This is an exciting time for TFP as it goes through a period of significant growth and international expansion. As **Management/Financial Accountant** there will be plenty of opportunities for you to problem-solve, drive process improvements, and expand your role as a part of this exciting growth phase.

**Key responsibilities**
- **Month End**: responsible for the end-to-end month end process. This includes preparation of monthly financial reports with accurate and detailed analysis of the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital and company KPI’s. **Budgeting and forecasting**: preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly re-forecast. Support development of longer-term business plans from finance perspective. Review monthly budget analysis with the relevant department heads. **Cash Management**: manage the 18 month rolling cash flow forecast, review working capital requirements and make recommendations to ensure effective cash management. Monitor daily cash position, manage bank accounts and balances to ensure sufficient cash in accounts to meet short and medium payment requirements.
- **Management Reporting**: prepare accurate and timely weekly/monthly management reports for the management team, the Board, sales, projects, and key internal stakeholders to enable informed management decisions.
- **Product costings**: proactively lead regular product costing and margin reviews and support pricing strategy for new business- **Year-end and statutory returns**: manage the year-end process, preparation of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns with the third-party accountancy firm as well as management of the annual external audit.
Oversee the timely preparation and submission of other statutory returns (VAT, Alcohol and Excise, ONS surveys etc.) ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
- **Payroll**: lead monthly payment runs, high level review of payroll, finance point of contact for external payroll and employee benefit providers (incl. P11Ds, pensions, medical insurance etc.). **End-to-end Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Process**: oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable process and implement control enhancements as needed. Ensure timely chasing of debtors, collaborating with internal stakeholders and review supplier payment runs and prioritisation. **Corporate Expenses**: oversee monthly corporate credit card and out of pocket expenses claims ensuring compliance to policies. **Fixed Asset Register**: ensure capital expenditure is correctly recognised and treated within the fixed asset register and accounts- **Process and Controls**: Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems, reviewing effectiveness of controls and processes. Drive change to automate and make improvements as and when required to minimise financial risk. Ensure compliance with Accounting Policies. **Projects**: contribute to company projects, business case developments and ERP system improvement activities as appropriate.
**Skills and Expertise**
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2 years PQE- Previous experience within a fast-paced product-based finance function- Familiarity with accounting software (prior experience and working knowledge of SAP Business One is advantageous)- Experience in a products-based manufacturing business and product costings is advantageous- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Advanced level- Educated to university level in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
