We are currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join a friendly and expanding Procurement team that offers excellent career development.
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, your role will be to develop supply chain relationships to provide a seamless service, whilst maximising buying potential and the availability of materials when required. You will also be tasked with driving down costs& creating a competitive product base, adding value to the bottom line. Responsibility for maintenance and efficient coordination of order administration for products and services required for daily operations will also be part of your remit.
Some of your core responsibilities will include efficient maintenance and ownership of consumable and non-stock purchasing, ensuring costs are below or matching expected and budgeted figures. You will ensure sample requests are promptly processed, ordered,and tracked through to delivery together with literature and pricing updated in correct digital platforms. You'll process, maintain and track service and non-stock purchases through the finance ordering system as well as analysing and assisting in determiningadequate stock levels with continuous monitoring and efficient procurement. You will closely monitor and internally communicate supplier, product, market, and incoming goods information and maintain raw material costs and product literature in the relevantsystems. As part of your role, you will also liaise closely with the Finance and Logistics teams to keep them updated on supplier payments, terms, and information regarding shipments.
The ideal applicant will have relevant demonstrable experience gained in a similar purchasing or stock management role. You will have excellent attention to detail and hands-on experience of managing and maintaining data. You will be capable of managing yourown workload and confident in liaising at all levels in the business. You will have strong MS Office experience, in particular MS Excel. SAP experience would also be beneficial and it is essential that you have excellent numerical skills in order to calculateproduct costings accurately. You will be target-driven with the ability to prioritise and manage in a busy role whilst still maintaining a friendly, and positive attitude. Knowledge and experience of a flavours processing or manufacturing environment wouldbe highly desirable, as would working within ISO / BRC standards.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. 9am-5pm. The position pays a very competitive salary and also comes with a range of excellent benefits. This position will be fully office-based.
