**Location**: The Barnsley Metrodome

**Hours Of Work**: 10.25 hours per week, Monday to Sunday to suit the needs of the business. (shifts include days, evenings, weekends & bank holidays). **This position is temporary for up to 12 months to cover maternity**

**leave.**

***Casual "as & when required" hours per week are also available.

**Rate of Pay**: PS11.44 per hour

**DETAILS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To provide an efficient Bowling Alley reception service to members

of the public using computerised equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times, retaining existing

and attracting new customers.
- Assist in ensuring the highest consistent standards of Customer

Quality Service is achieved on your shift.
- To take bookings relating to the use of the bowling alley by members

of the public and keep appropriate records.
- Responsible for issuing/collecting bowling shoes and other bowling equipment.
- Carry out before use maintenance checks and fixing any faults on the bowling alley

lanes prior to opening to members of the public.
- Assist bowling alley users in the use and operation of the lanes and computerised

scoring equipment.
- Responsible for undertaking general cleaning duties and maintenance duties as required,

including cleaning of bowling lanes, bowling balls and wiping of table and chairs.
- Adhere to BPL's uniform standards, stock control and cash handling policies at all times.
- Ensure that your work areas are clean, safe and maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of attendance and time keeping in line with their rota.
- Adhere to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, customs and excise regulations,

food hygiene, health and safety and company policy.
- Serve customers with a range of draught and bottled drinks from behind the bar area.
- Collect and wash glasses, and ensure the general cleanliness of the bar and

seating area is maintained at all times.
- Restock shelves/coolers behind bar with bottled drinks.
- Check cash floats and till takings at the end of shift and complete the necessary

documentation in accordance with financial regulations.
- To carry out duties associated with emptying of machines and monies on a regular basis,

i.e. gaming machines and pool tables. The counting of monies in accordance

with financial procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining Health and Safety Standards within the bowling alley

in accordance with legal and BPL requirements as applicable to the premises,

equipment, other staff and customers.
- Expected to keep documentation in relation to lost and found property.
- Maintain product knowledge and be familiar with current promotions and new products.
- To be the perfect host, making our guests feel as welcome as possible at all times.
- Communicate with guests in a friendly and appropriate manner
- Ensure that food and drinks are served and presented to the prescribed standard.

**And any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by Management.**
