Due to upcoming maternity leave, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dosimetrist to join the planning team in a new state of the art Radiotherapy Centre in Worcester. The successful applicant will join a team of 6 dosimetrists, 8 clinical scientists and 4 engineers, on a fixed-term 12-month contract.
The Worcester Radiotherapy Service is delivered from a new building currently housing 3 Elekta Linear Accelerators with VMAT and IGRT capability, an Xstrahl superficial unit and a Toshiba Widebore CT Scanner with 4DCT. The building has been designed to accommodate significant expansion, with 5 Linac Bunkers and 2 scanner rooms. The Raystation TPS is being used at Worcester as part of an active research programme to pursue automated planning processes and knowledge-based plan optimisation.
