Are you ready to land your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work package Lead to join a Landing Gear Manufacturing Technologies R&T project. You will have the ability to work on a challenging but transformational project for Airbus.

Providing leadership to an Airbus work package, you will work with a wider consortium of external research partners to deliver new capabilities and competency through the development and testing products, defining new methods and tools, all ready to bring future Airbus Landing Gear Products to market.

**HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM**
- Landing Gear of Tomorrow is an R&T project consisting of numerous work packages and technology bricks. LG Industrial Technologies is a key work package seeking to develop component and manufacturing technologies to replace current long lead time process drivers for large gear components
- The consortium has been formed under Airbus leadership and supported by the Aerospace Technology Institute, and includes Industrials, SME's, Academia and UK Catapults as partners.
- As a team we will deliver new capabilities and competence to the business by developing and testing products, defining new methods and tools, all ready to bring future Airbus Landing Gear Products to market. We will also enable a new capable UK supply chain to replace forgings on the next aircraft programme.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Ideally you will have worked within the Aerospace industry
- You will have had experience of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Previous Project management experience delivering to time cost and quality, preferably in a multi party environment
- Knowledge of the UK industrial ecosystem including large scale component manufacture.
- Definition of large scale components, preferably Landing Gear, at the concept level.
- Experience of working in/with manufacturing engineering or industrial setting with metallic and composite technologies.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture with metallic & composite technologies.
- An understanding of process specification or material properties sufficient to facilitate engagement with Materials & Process specialists.
