Role Purpose

Ensuring internal and external compliance of third party exchange and data vendor contributed data is a top priority. The goals of data compliance are:
- Set the standards and drive changes across the Iress products to be in compliance.- Facilitate the growth of Iress revenue.- Support the business with regards to data contracts, market data cost trends etc.- Minimise any monetary or reputational risk to Iress.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...- Leading a team of Data Compliance Analysts located in the EMEA region.- Establish and maintain relationships with third party exchanges and data vendors.- Conduct and chair recurring Data Compliance meetings with regional Commercial leads in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Canada. Work with Commercial teams to achieve compliance if problems exist.- Escalation point for Data Compliance Analysts seeking guidance/support for contract negotiation, product review and policy clarifications.- Drive internal and external data usage policies across Iress product suites.- Drive changes to process, products and entitlement systems to ensure compliance across Iress global operations.- Regular market data invoicing reviews to ensure the correct payment for products and services that Iress is using.- Assist Market Data Compliance Program Lead with exchange audit engagements.- Collaborate with the Market Data Compliance Program Lead and Commercial teams to grow revenue for Iress solutions in a compliant manner.- Support Global Head of Market Data with understanding cost changes and trend reporting in Market Data

To be successful in this role you will

Have multiple years experience with exchange/data vendor management or data compliance within financial services.

You will have experience in:
- Data Compliance Governance.- Market data API contracts & onboarding.- Demonstrate reporting and analytical skills.- People management.- Be able to read and understand market data policies and assess impact.- A strong understanding of market data terms and common policies.- Managing and negotiating the best exchange/vendor contract terms.- Contributing towards Data Compliance management and control.

You will have strong interpersonal, collaborative and presentation skills for interacting with team members, clients and internal stakeholders. People Management skills, leading by example setting a high standard of work and personal values. Ideally will have experience of working within global and regional teams.

Creates an environment that fosters initiative in others while managing competing priorities using your critical thinking and problem solving skills.

A degree qualification in the finance services area is desirable or equivalent in industry experience.
