Conventional Machinist

Job Summary:
Diamond Precision Engineering, a leading provider of comprehensive engineering solutions based in Birkenhead, Wirral, is currently seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist to join our versatile team. This role primarily involves conventional milling tasks, including press tools, fixtures, and small batch parts, alongside the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilise conventional milling machines to manufacture press tools, fixtures, and small batch parts to precise specifications.
- Perform conventional turning operations as required.
- Conduct flat bed and cylindrical grinding operations to meet project requirements.
- Engage in general engineering tasks across a variety of projects, including CNC machining, laser cutting, and fabrication.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deadlines.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience as a Conventional Machinist, with proficiency in milling, turning, and grinding techniques.
- Strong familiarity with conventional milling machines and related equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with precision.
- Knowledge of conventional turning techniques.
- Proficiency in flat bed and cylindrical grinding operations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Willingness to contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Pay: £17.36 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
