Inpatient Maternity Matron

The inpatient Matron will work with the Divisional Director of Midwifery and Nursing and the Deputy Head of Midwifery and Nursing to provide effective leadership within the division. The post holder will provide operational management within all areas of designated responsibility, ensuring an integrated approach with Community Midwifery Services and Stockport Family to deliver improved outcomes for women, children, young people and families. You will be responsible for the delivery of a safe quality service while meeting financial targets.

You will be responsible for assisting the Divisional Director of Midwifery and Nursing and the Deputy Head of Midwifery and Nursing with the development and delivery of clinical services and professional standards including the development of Midwifery leadership. The post holder will lead on delegated projects within the division and assist with shaping the divisional midwifery direction and strategy with a focus on recruitment and retention working.
