The Recruitment Co ae currently recruiting for an FLT driver on behalf of our client based in Bootle.
**Salary - 24,000-26,000 DOE
40 hrs per week.**
**Purpose of Role**
The Forklift Truck Operator will use forklift vehicles to move goods around the warehouses and wider
terminal site. They will work with the Warehouse Supervisor to help ensure that the warehouses are kept
clean, tidy, and in good operational order at all times. They will report any issues or faults with the fork lift
truck and other machinery and tools promptly to the Supervisor.
He/she will process orders, pick and move goods to the relevant places to meet varying demand for stock.
This will be done in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner as possible.
Person Specification
- Good experience of forklift truck operating in a warehouse environment.
- Fork lift licences for "reach" and "counterbalance" working, and the ability to move and store pallets on multi-level racking.
- Experience of pallet warehouse working where high level racking is used.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements and standards for forklift truck operation.
- Good spoken and written English skills and numeracy essential.
- Computer literacy and ability to use automated warehouse IT systems.
- Flexible positive attitude to your own work as well as towards supporting and assisting colleagues.

**Ongoing activities and responsibilities will include.**
- Operating the forklift truck to move goods and equipment around the warehouses and elsewhere on the terminal site in a safe manner.
- Loading pallets onto wagons.
- Ensuring that all high level racking work is done safely and accurately.
- Ensuring that the fork lift truck is kept clean and tidy, free from any debris.
- Reporting any forklift truck, mechanical equipment or storage equipment faults or maintenance issues to the Warehouse Supervisor straight away.
- Ensuring that all necessary safety clothing and equipment is worn at all times and maintained in good condition.
- Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy to the standards required for chemical and feed storage.
- Ensuring that warehouse Health and Safety rules and Company rules and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Using computerised and automated warehouse systems to deal with stock management, and other warehouse information.
- Using the rip and tip machinery (is properly trained and authorised to do so)
- Undertake any other duties and tasks which are reasonably required by management
