A regional specialist Civil Engineering contractor that carry out a range of marine and infrastructure improvement projects across Sussex, Hampshire and Kent is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established regional business and take ownership of a large project from start to completion and through to client hand over.
The Senior Project Manager is to lead construction of a reservoir, overseeing Project Managers and site teams as we as having responsibility for the delivery of the company's construction scope, with consideration to safety, time, cost, and quality.
The Senior PM role will suit an experienced Project Manager or a Contracts Manager seeking a rewarding career with a friendly business that enjoy below average level of staff turnover.

**The Role**
Lead and motivate project site teams, including Project Managers for delivery of key elements of scope
- Understand and communicate clients scope to site teams to ensure objectives are met, whilst identifying elements which are beyond contract scope and are potential compensation events.
- Liaise with site management teams to ensure effective utilization of plant and labour on site. Monitor plant and labour use against Forecast Plan.
- Ensure site management teams produce accurate weekly and monthly site returns in a timely manner.
- Monitor the morale & motivation of the team. Communicate the company objectives & maintain regular information sharing relevant to the team
- Support commercial team to prepare enquires and procure subcontract packages.
- Manage subcontract packages, in accordance with the company procedures
- Support other members of the joint venture project team and stakeholders
- Ensure all HSE (Health and Safety Executive) legislation and rules are followed, and ensure site teams comply with company health and safety procedures on site.
- Ensure project managers produce and maintain detailed construction programmes for elements of work.
- Develop effective relationships with the client and the client representatives.
- Main point of contact for client updates of construction activities.
- Raise early warnings and attend risk reduction meetings to discuss the best way to mitigate potential delays and increased costs.
- Produce monthly progress reports for client

**Experience Required**:

- Suitable applicants will be educated to HND / BSc Civil Engineering and will be able to demonstrate a stable career history working on civil engineering projects for recognised contractors in the UK.
- Able to demonstrate no less than five years experience managing site based teams on projects from conception to hand over.
- Experience on design and build projects will be advantageous.
