Forestry Worker

If successful you will be expected to contribute to a positive, team-work orientated and colourful atmosphere on site.

Planting to our level is a methodical and skilful practice and often involves pre-planting work to prep the ground, with an array of hand tools that we specialise in and have made to order in our local Smiddy. We take great pride in our results and the faith that our clients have in us to deliver.

Planting trees is paid on piece rate (paid for what you plant). Alexander Forestry rates currently run from 12.5p/tree to 16.5p/tree. Everyone works carefully and methodically to clear rules. Other tasks are either paid on different piece rate scales or by handsome day rates, with additional daily bonuses once tickets have been obtained or positions of authority in the company reached, such as Lead Planter.
